When I install Birdiesync on my Windows 10 machine, I am not prompted for a Thunderbird Add-on installation, after the appropriate keystrokes.
Although the UserID is an admin, a member of "Domain Admin" to be precise, and all the relevent prompts to allow installation were clicked, I find that I STILL need to install Birdiesync by right clicking on it and selecting the dropdown "Run As Administrator".
Hope this info helps.
This was experienced with v3.0.2.1 & v3.1.0.0 Beta3 Birdiesync.
