Birdiesync cannot connect to Thunderbird

Hi,

New problem today using:

• Thunderbird 52.6.0
  BirdieSync 3.2.0.1
  Android App 3.0.0.10

Using over the air (IP) sync prior to now. Has been working fine for months, possibly years.

Today I try to connect and birdiesync tells me it cannot connect to thunderbird running on the same machine.
Seems to find the phone ok, Single source ready to sync but fails to connect to the default thunderbird profile at 127.0.0.1.

Thunderbird states:
"Sorry, it was impossible to connect to BirdieSync server with IP address 127.0.0.1."

Birdiesync states:
"Source default could not connect to birdiesync server"

Can anybody help with this?

I updated to the newest similar minor version for both thunderbird and birdiesyc and it seems to have resolved the problem.
Still don't know what caused it ?
