Birdiesync Extension not installing

I made the mistake of installing the Release Channel version of Thunderbird 140, and when version 141 was released, I realized that you are only supporting the changes made on the Extended Release channel.

I successfully "downgraded" and now have Thunderbird 140.1 installed and working with my profile.

But I was having trouble with automatically connecting Thunderbird (same server) to BirdieSync on my Windows 11 PC. So I deleted:
BirdieSync Windows app 3.2.13.0
BirdieSync Extension in Thunderbird

Now when I re-installed BirdieSync app on Windows, the BirdieSync extension does not appear in Thunderbird's list of add-ons.

How do I fix this?

I was able to fix this problem.

My issue was failing to uninstall the BirdieSync windows app COMPLETELY, before doing the re-install.

Hello Mike,

Actually efforts are made to regularly publish BirdieSync versions which supports Thunderbird versions published monthly on the Release channel. But the last release of Thunderbird 141 has been published earlier than expected. A new version of BirdieSync 3.2.14.0 now supports this new version of Thunderbird.

But if you don't wish to have to update BirdieSync too often, then you may stick with Thunderbird ESR which is published yearly and use the ESR channel.
