After installing 3.2.9.0 cannot get Thunderbird version changed

I installed 3.2.9.0 but now when I click on the BirdieSync icon in Thunderbird, it says that 3.2.8.0 is still installed and I need to update. But no matter how many times I restart Thunderbird or my PC, the BirdieSync version doesn't change.

Hello ajramsayjaneway,
There might be a problem with Thunderbird add-on manager. Could you please do the following operations:
Uninstall BirdieSync on the PC (not on the mobile device) and ensure that "Keep BirdieSync user data" is ticked (this should be the default option) when asked during uninstallation, to keep your current configuration.
Then launch Thunderbird to force Thunderbird add-on manager to take into account the removal of BirdieSync add-on (this step is important).
Then close Thunderbird and reinstall BirdieSync on the PC.
Then relaunch Thunderbird and check if BirdieSync add-on is present in the add-on list, has the correct version and is mentioned as compatible.
You may have to enable it if it is still disabled.
Thanks.

For which version of Thunderbird do I need BirdieSync 3.2.9.0? I'm currently on Thunderbird V.128.8.1 esr and BirdieSync 3.2.8.0 and it is just synchronizing nicely.

Hello UlliB,
BirdieSync 3.2.9.0 supports Thunderbird 136 available on the Release channel.
If you are still on Thunderbird 128, then BirdieSync 3.2.8.0 is the correct version.

Thanks for the info. I downloaded and installed Thunderbird 136.0.1 and updated to BirdieSync 3.2.9.0. After that, the window didn't appear when I opened BirdieSync although the Thunderbird extension said "Single source connected". After uninstalling, downloading and re-installing 3.2.9.0 things didn't change, but restarting Windows made the problem go away.
