Sync TB Lists with iPod Groups

I finally got my contacts cleaned up, and they're syncing great. I still have one wish. I wish that Thunderbird's distro lists would sync with iPod's groups. I realize I can separate contacts into separate address books in Thunderbird, and this will show up as groups in the iPod. But I'd rather have my contacts all in one address book, creating a virtual link to those contacts in the distro list instead of actually moving those contacts to a different container.
