Birdie keeps reporting a conflict even though the event has been deleted in both sources. nAlso keeps on syncing events that have been synced before and not changed. Seems weird.

Hello philken,

On which device do you have these problems ? Android ? iPhone ?

Regarding events in conflict "deleted" in both sources, were they simple events or recurring events ? For instance, it may be possible to delete the first occurrence of a main series, so the mentioned date would not exist in the calendar, but other occurrences would still exist. A recurring event is considered as modified if the main series is modified, or if one of its occurrence is modified or deleted. It's the date of the main series which is mentioned in the Conflicts view.

The events which keep being synchronized, are they always the same events or different events ?
Once synchronized, they are considered as modified again at next synchronizations ?

If you have an iPhone, do you synchronize your events with iCloud ?

Thanks.

Hi, this si sunchonising iphone with PC. The deleted events which come up as conflicts are single events. The ones which coinstantly re-synce as if they have been modified are sometimes the same, but more oftebn than not they are diferent ones (or a sub set of one where this has happened before).
Does this help?
The iphone calendar is synced to icloud.

additional info - sometimes the same event is identified as having being modified even though it has not been and it syncs. It might do that again with the same item next time.

Regarding the events which keep to be synchronized, it may be possible that iCloud modifies these events shortly after they are written on the iPhone, leading to a new synchronization back to Thunderbird.

To investigate on the problem, I may need to trace the events in conflict and the events you create or are considered as modified when you synchronize the iPhone with Thunderbird. If you agree with this, please send a mail to support(@)birdiesync(dot).com. Please, also build a log archive with BirdieSync menu "Help/Archive logs..." and join BirdieSyncLog.zip.

Thanks.
