On my PC running Windows 7 64bit, Thunderbird V.45.2.0 and BirdieSync 3.0.1.1, I just synchronized my address book with my iPad. It worked like a charm. No problems at all.

Hello DieBird & UlliB,

In Thunderbird add-on list (Thunderbird menu "Tools/Add-ons), if BirdieSync add-on is displayed with an incorrect version not matching the version you installed (for instance 3.0.0.9 instead of 3.0.1.1) and is said to be incompatible with Thunderbird version, there might be a problem with Thunderbird add-on manager. To try to solve the problem:

Uninstall BirdieSync on the PC (not on the mobile device) and ensure that "Keep BirdieSync user data" is checked when asked during uninstallation, to keep your current configuration.

Then launch Thunderbird to force Thunderbird add-on manager to take into account the removal of BirdieSync add-on (this step is important).

Then close Thunderbird and reinstall BirdieSync on the PC.
Then relaunch Thunderbird and check if BirdieSync add-on is present in the add-on list, has the correct version and is mentioned as compatible.
You may have to enable it if it is still disabled.
