USB - no connection

Hi,
having used BirdieSync over the last few year without a problem it now refuses to connect to my Sony Z3 compact (Android 5.0.1) device using it together with Windows 10 (which was the only recent change, under Windows 7 it worked flawlessly). The message is "Cannot connect to Android mobile device". I have performed the steps described in the FAQ, but no change. ADB sees the mobile, can connect to it (e.g. tried with adb shell), but BirdieSync cannot. Synchronisation via WiFi works.
What else can there be done?
Best,
Cactus

Hello Cactus,

Which version of BirdieSync to you have ? (BirdieSync menu "Help/About...")

When you plug your Android device via USB, in BirdieSync app on Android, under the synchronization progress bar bar, do you see a message like "Connection to the server via USB..." ?

After you plugged a first time your Android device via USB and failed to connect, could you unplug it then connect via Wi-Fi (this is important to get Android log), and then build a log archive with BirdieSync menu "Help/Archive logs..." and send BirdieSyncLog.zip to support(at)birdiesync.com ?
Thanks.

Hi,
version 3.0.1.1.
I only see a third device popping up saying Android and "Connecting...".
Log is sent.
Best,
