I agree with you that synchronizing multiple address books (and calendars) would be a very interesting feature. And some internal modifications of BirdieSync were already done to prepare the integration of this feature. But for the moment, I cannot you tell you exactly when it will be integrated, al...

Release of BirdieSync 1.2.1.2

Version 1.2.1.2 Bug corrections : - Portable Thunderbird can be used even if no version of the classical Thunderbird is installed on the desktop (leading before to an "attention required" and an error in the log about profile) Version 1.2.1.1 Bug corrections : - It is now possible to pursue install...

Regarding the problem of icons, I think it's because of some changes in BirdieSync icon management between the two different versions you installed. Normally, icons should be correct in ActiveSync options window. But your ActiveSync partnership very likely kept the old icon settings. If you delete a...

The problem with the Orange program is that it doesn't fully unlock your mobile. It is rather for developpers. Actually, it very likely only allows you to install a privilege certificate to test development. The best way is to find a signed version of a registry editor and to apply the changes I des...

Does it mean that you have no warning (pop up window) when you install BirdieSync ? Is the file BirdieSyncInstall.log located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp empty ? Also, when you install an unsigned application, do you have a prompt on the mobile asking you an authoriz...

How to unlock a mobile

How to unlock a mobile: In order to run properly, BirdieSync needs an unlocked mobile. Actually, each device can have its own security policy. If the majority of Pocket PC are very permissive (unsigned applications are allowed to execute with sometimes a warning displayed to the user), very often, ...

Which version did you have before ? Do you remember ? Did you uninstall the previous version before installing this one ? Right after the problem, without restarting any process (Thunderbird for instance) and if possible without disconnecting your mobile, is it possible to send me the log files to s...

I found the problem regarding the traces. I will send you a new build. Use it for the installation and send me back the BirdieSyncInstall.log so that I can try to analyze the problem.

OK. Normally an error should be logged in installation log. I will do some tests on my own to check these traces. I'm not sure it properly works because I was also informed about other warnings which are not logged. I keep you informed shortly.

Hello,

I don't think so. I realize my tests with Bluetooth.
You should find a file named BirdieSyncInstall.log in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp or in the %TEMP% variable directory. Is this file empty ? If it is not, could you send it to support@birdiesync.com ?
Thanks.

After a deep analysis of the problem, it seemed likely that the Windows Mobile environment was not in a very good state before installation. A hard reset and a reinstallation of BirdieSync solved the problem and the synchronization could be performed with cards, events and tasks.
