Re: Daylight saving - Western Australia
Hi Birdy, Thank you for the detailed response. I guess in this case the Sunbird/Lightning is not up to date, as both WIndows & Windows Mobile are showing the correct time. I agree it is not good to have different time zones and have run into that problem of changing my appointment. Yes, agree my sug...

Re: Daylight saving - Western Australia
Just updated with the latest version 1.7.0.4 and told me that the profile is 480min and the mobile is 540min. This gave me a different perspective of looking at the problem. So, I choose a profile that had 540min in BirdieSync in Thunderbird/Lightning. This allowed the device and Thunderbird/Lightni...

Daylight saving - Western Australia
Hi, Western Australia has just gone into daylight saving for the summer. The clock on my PC and my mobile are showing the correct daylight saving time, however, I received a ActiveSync error from BirdieSync that the timezones were incorrect. Even though I have selected on the PC, BirdieSync, and mob...

Re: ... for Mac?
Even though I don't currently own a Mac, it will be the next OS I do buy to replace my Windows machine. This could happen tomorrow (heaven forbid) or in the next few years (you never know when your machine will die :( ). So, I would like to see Thunderbird & Lightning/Sunbird work with BirdySync on ...

Re: Break Partnership & send PC to Device
Hello, Could you tell me how you checked that the events were synchronized ? Did you look in the monthly view or in the daily view ? Because in the monthly view, events which have a "free" status are not displayed (contrary to the daily view). When you create a recurring event in Sunbird, it automa...

Break Partnership & send PC to Device
I decided to break the partnership (ie delete the partnership in ActiveSync) and then re-establish the partnership. After deleting the partnership I re-connected and started the creation of the partnership. It asked whether I wanted to merge the entries (PC & Device), send PC to Device, or do nothin...

Re: Missing additional fields (eg Home 2 phone)
Thanks Birdie. I thought as much. Amazing the thought process becomes clearer as you write things down. That would be great. Another possibility (especially for those already using all of there custom fields) is to set up a special tag that would put these fields into the notes area. Could have some...

Add-on does not show correct version
I've upgraded to v1.6.9.0 and restarted Thunderbird. However, when I look at Tools > Add-ons the version number showing is 1.6.8.0
I've been using BirdieSync since 1.6.7.0.
This is the only what I know to check what version of BirdieSync I'm using.
Thanks

Re: Problem with Lightning 0.8
Thanks for the 1970 date fix. That is a medium size issue for me as I do have all day events (birthdays, wedding anniversaries, etc) prior to 1970.
I guess appointments prior to 1970 with times would be extremely remote.
Could you add 1970 fix to your release notes?

Re: Problem with Lightning 0.8
Hi Birdie,
I read this post with interest about the dates prior to 1970. Is this problem fixed in 1.6.9 of BirdSync or 1.6.8?
Thanks
PS I went back to your release notes and can't find any mention of the 1970 issue.

Re: BirdieSync and Portable Thunderbird on a TrueCrypt Volume
Hi Birdy, I installed the latest version and ran with it for a few days to be sure all was fine with my environment. Today, I moved my profile directory from "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles" to my TrueCrypt volume. I changed my Profile.INI to point to t...

Re: BirdieSync and Portable Thunderbird on a TrueCrypt Volume
Hi Birdy,
That is fantastic news.
I'll look to test in the next few days and yes I'm using classic Thunderbird.

Re: Upgraded to 1.6.7.0 now unresolved item
Hi Birdy, Okay, I know I set it up as 26 Dec and when I looked later on it was 25 Dec. Can't remember if I had sync'd it at the time and then find the anomaly. I have others defined and not a problem. I'll write it off as one of those unexplained phenomena. I tried creating the archive log now and w...
