Re: Transferred data to new phone but Configuration still shows as old phone
Never mind! I decided to go into Configuration and just delete all devices except my PC, after which I created the devices again with the Assistant. And that worked. I now show both the old phone and the new phone as separate devices. I wish I didn't have to do all that work, though. It would be nic...

Transferred data to new phone but Configuration still shows as old phone
I recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G to a Galaxy S22+ and transferred all the files and data from the S10 5G to the S22+, but I want to keep my old S10 5G as a second phone. Unfortunately, in Configuration, the Galaxy S22+ still shows as Galaxy S10 5G, because I transferred all the files...

Re: Birdiesync says "Successfully completed" but Galaxy S5 events not synced
NEVER MIND.
Somehow the wrong calendar became the default calendar on my Galaxy S5. I don't know how THAT happened, but I switched the default calendar back to the correct one and now the events are synchronizing properly.
My bad.

Birdiesync says "Successfully completed" but Galaxy S5 events not synced
I have Birdiesync 3 on my Windows 10 desktop PC, and I have the latest versions of Birdiesync on my Galaxy S5 phone and my Galaxy S8 phone. This past week, Birdiesync stopped synchronizing events from by Galaxy S5 phone. It reports that the sync was "Successfully completed," but the events on the Ga...

Re: "Source disconnected" 1/2 hour after first sync
I have installed Birdiesync 3.0.0.2.
It has had no effect whatsoever. Communication is still timing out, and the log looks the same as before.

Re: "Source disconnected" 1/2 hour after first sync
Well, Birdy,
do you have any idea what is causing my problem then?
Why do those "Keep alive" messages stop getting acknowledged by BirdieSync on Android after a while?
Would you get any more clues if I posted the entire day's log?

Re: "Source disconnected" 1/2 hour after first sync
Oops, I spoke too soon! The problem is still there. But it doesn't disconnect after the first sync. Now it seems to take longer before that happens. But it still happens. Re: "Source disconnected" 1/2 hour after first sync
Well, I just installed the official Birdiesync 3.0 (no more beta!) on my Android 5.0 Galaxy S5 and on my PC,
and the problem has disappeared.
Whatever the problem was, it's no longer a problem.

"Source disconnected" 1/2 hour after first sync
This happens repeatedly: I connect my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my PC via a USB cable. BirdieSync detects it and starts synchronizing. Sync works OK. I have set BirdieSync to try to resync every 30 minutes. The next time, the resync fails with the message "Source disconnected." Yet according to Windows (...

Read/write sync writes PC to smartphone, not the reverse
I've set up BirdieSync 3.0 beta 24, to sync Thunderbird v38.2 on my PC with my calendar on my Galaxy S5 smartphone running Android 5. I have both the calendars on my PC and on my smartphone set to Read/Write. But BirdieSync only writes events from Thunderbird to my smartphone. It fails to write even...

Re: New Windows Security Updates crash Birdiesync.exe
Well, this time I tried installing each of the five Windows Security Updates one at a time. (Most required a reboot; so I installed one, rebooted, installed another one, rebooted, etc.) And this time, Birdiesync.exe launched properly. So I don't know what happened the last time. Perhaps installing a...

New Windows Security Updates crash Birdiesync.exe
This morning, I installed the following Windows Security Updates on my x64 Windows 7 PC: KB3019215 KB3019978 KB3021674 KB3022777 KB3023266 From then on, every time I tried to launch Birdiesync.exe (version 2.4.10.0), it crashed with a fatal error message. Here is an excerpt from the log: Local 2015-...
