Re: Thunderbird add-on not installing
I'm using Thunderbird 78.14.0 with BirdieSync V.3.2.4.3 and it's working fine. BirdieSync V.3.2.5.1 has the support for Thunderbird 91, which is on beta. Are you sure this release is supposed to work with Thunderbird 78? I haven't read anything to the contrary in the forum, but in the past BirdieSyn...

Re: Starting with iOS 14.5 BirdieSync App fails to "Find BirdieSync server"
I upgraded to iPad OS 14.5 yesterday and I tried to synchronize with BirdieSync today. The synchronization went through without problems.

Re: Thunderbird 78.01 BirdieSync no connect
Found the button but the connection fails. The BirdieSync add-on tries to connect to the BirdieSync server at 127.0.0.1 which fails. "Connection -> Server address" in BirdieSync says that the server address is 192.168.178.34 which is the address of my PC in the home network. That might be the correc...

Re: Thunderbird 78.01 BirdieSync no connect
I would very much appreciate some reaction to my posting. Is this a problem that is unique to my installation? Is there anything I did oversee or did wrong?

Thunderbird 78.01 BirdieSync no connect
I've installed Thunderbird 78.0.1 and BirdieSync 3.2.4.1. In Thunderbird, there used to be a menu item under "Tools" to connect to BirdieSync. This item seems to be gone, at least I can't find it anymore. How do I connect BirdieSync to Thunderbird now?

SPAM
It happens again and again in this forum that SPAM is posted. On other forums I follow, this ia a phenomenon that has disappeared since quite some time. Is your forum software out-of-date that it can't filter SPAM properly or what else might be the reason? It is quite annoying.

On my PC running Windows 7 64bit, Thunderbird V.45.2.0 and BirdieSync 3.0.1.1, I just synchronized my address book with my iPad. It worked like a charm. No problems at all.

Re: Thunderbird 45.0
Did you stop Thunderbird during the install? If Thunderbird is running, the add-on cannot be replaced.

Re: Birdiesync 3.0 - final version after test period
You cannot hold your paying customers from upgrading Thunderbird any longer. There are security patches that need to be applied. you can always use the beta , i do :) I don't. Policy. I like BirdieSync but if it doesn't come out of beta pretty soon I'll have to find something else. Good policy. If ...

Re: Birdiesync 3.0 - final version after test period
After looking at the procedure to install the beta on my iPad I decided to not try this. Recently, I upgraded to TBird 38.2.0 and disabled Birdiesync. I'll wait for the final version before I'll sync my address book again.UlliB wrote:Thanks for your thorough explanation. I'll try the beta.

Re: Birdiesync 3.0 - final version after test period
I see the test period dragging out a bit. The problems however that are coming up don't seem to affect my environment: TB on Windows 7 x64 syncing only the address book with an iPad 2 running iOS 8.4. I'd like to upgrade to TB 38.1 and of course I would need to use the beta version of BirdieSync 3.0...

Re: Thunderbird extension initialisation failure
Hi, I'm using ThunderBird V.31.3.0 with BirdieSync V.2.4.10 (Extension and PC Program). BirdieSync version on the iPad is 2.3.9. Address book sync is working nicely.
