Starting with iOS 14.5 BirdieSync App fails to "Find BirdieSync server"
After updating my iPhone 7 to the latest release of iOS 14.5 the iOS App of BirdySny 3.0.0.12 fails to "Find BirdieSync server". After a while searching for host with BirdieSync a message is displayed that "Host with BirdieSync not found". It is still possible to connect, when the option to search i...

Support for Thunderbird 60.0
Hello Birdy,
I assume you are already busy and working on a release to support the new version of Thunderbird 60.0 which was released yesterday. Are you able to to provide us here with an approximation of the availability (ETA)?
Kind regards and thanks in advance

Skip item on preview
Hi Birdy, with BirdieSync 3 you introduced a wonderful preview option where a user can check what will be synchronized in before hand. Would it be difficult to add an option (maybe a checkbox) at that point to skip some single items from synchronization? At the moment it is possible either to procee...

Is BirdieSync iOS 8 ready?
Hi, just a short question which might be interesting for all Apple users. With the release of iPhone 6 tomorrow there will be no chance to stay on iOS 7 because the new devices will be shipped with iOS 8. Is BirdieSync already compatible for iOS 8 or do I have to expect problems so that I should not...

Re: iOS Hardware Change without loosing data or get duplicat
OK, here comes one possible solution. Obviously Apple changes something in iOS 7 so that the obvious procedure works fine! :D In short: Use Step 1,2,3 from posting above do _not_ a RESET in BirdieSync options. Just connect the newly recovered iPhone to BirdySync and press sync button. This time no f...

iOS Hardware Change without loosing data or get duplicates
Hello Birdy, what is the intended process of migrating calender and contacts from old Apple hardware to new (e.g. switching a broken iPhone to a new one) without loosing data or getting duplicates? The first trivial thing is making a backup on both sides (Thunderbird and iPhone) that not the interes...

Re: Thunderbird 12.0
Hello Birdy, just a minor remark for the new version. Installation works fine, but looking into the error log or error console of thunderbird shows the following: [BirdieSync] Initializing... Native module at path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\BirdieSync\Thunderbird Service\components\ComponentLoader.dll'...

Re: Support for TB7?
@Philo Since Mozilla switched to the rapid release model for there are many add-ons which are incompatible for a while. This is because many add-ons are not hosted on Mozilla hosts directly. If so every add-on would be automatically checked if still compatible with the new release, see here (http://...

Re: Sync to iOS calendar
My college is an Apple employee and has access to the issue tracking system. But without a number it is a little bit difficult to find the matching one (we've already searched a bit). If you don't want to post the bug-number here in public PM would be a good alternative I think.

Can you provide the bug-number in Apples tracking system? I'd like to investigate a little bit more into this problematic and my college is now interested, tooBirdy wrote:Hello KingTutt,

Re: Sync to iOS calendar
Tutt, I know I am not the man, but we are probably going to only be able to make assumptions until the phone is actually released. For the new iOS 5 you may be right, but it would be nice to have some more details. By college already has got the new iOS 5 (he's apple developer) but without knowing ...

Sync to iOS calendar
Hello Birdy, searching in the forum I found your post regarding the synchronisation of BirdieSync to iOS calendar. Hello x-ray, Unfortunatelly BirdieSync only synchronizes contacts because the technologies provided by Apple have important limitations regarding the management of recurring events. Cou...

Shortcuts for BirdySync
Hello, are there any parameter which can be passed at the commando prompt to BirdySync to e.g. "Open BirdySync" or to Start/Stop synchronization process? For now this options can be done by clicking on the BirdySync Icon in the taskbar using right MouseButton. I would like to access this using a lin...
