Re: Will BirdieSync be available for TB+Lightning Linux ?

Hi Birdy, Thanks for yr time and reply. :) My purpose here is not to kick a dead horse. You made your point and I understand it completely, even though I and (I know) quite a few others find it difficult to wait for so many moons. I just want to underline that even with BirdieSync not being open-sou...

Re: Android phone terminal not recognized on USB

Hi Birdy, I really appreciate your quick take and return on this. Before that, I only got "Device not recognized" AND/OR "Unknown device detected by Windows" Did you have this message in Windows task bar ? Because if you did, it means that there was a problem connecting the Android device even befor...

Re: Android phone terminal not recognized on USB

Sorry, this is a long post. Yes, with version 2.x a USB connection was never an issue. It worked smoothly every time, including directly after 2.x -> 2.y upgrades. When I open BirdieSync menu "Connection/Android USB driver", I have: Name Version Date Manufacturer Samsung Android ADB Interface 2.11.1...

Re: Android phone terminal not recognized on USB

Should I downgrade and forget about 3.0 beta ? Any idea or suggestion ?
I really don't know what is not right in my setup as I think I did everything by the book.

Re: Will BirdieSync be available for TB+Lightning Linux ?

HI Birdie ! Thanks for your reply. You know how well I think of BirdieSync. It is a must have for me. Been using it for the past 7 years. I have asked you the same question every 6 months for about 15 months now. So this time was the third time. The problem with your answer above is not that it does...

Android phone terminal not recognized on USB

Hello, Just upgraded to 3.0 beta. I run TB 38.0 with Lightning 4.x add-on on a Win XP SP3 PC. The phone terminal is a Samsung SIII mini running 4.2.4 Jelly Bean Android. I have not been able to even configure BirdieSync 3.0. Apparently the PC does not detect my Android phone terminal when I connect ...

Will BirdieSync be available for TB+Lightning Linux ?

Hi again (@Birdie included :) ) ! Now that the new platform and server architecture for the new BirdieSync 3.0 has come to us (courtesy of Calicia), it is time again for me to ask: WIll BirdieSync 3.0 become available to TB + Lightning users on Linux ? Are there any development plan or even a tentat...

Automatic install of wrong beta version on Android terminal

Hi everybody (@Birdie included!), I just received my automatic install of BirdieSync Beta on my Android Jelly Bean (v4.2) terminal. The fact it was done silently surprised me. Automatic install being triggered by joining the group of testers is not usual but wth ! I see in the release note on the ww...

Re: Linux and Virtual Machine

@hqc001: Samba is good if you want to configure services on a server, that rely on Unix/Linux user privileges for file access. The uptake is that for clients to access a networked volume, it is completely irrelevant whether said volume and clients share the same file systems. Using Samba on a Linux/...

moved Tb profiles.ini file pbm for birdiesync ?

Hi everybody, I recently moved my Thunderbird 25.5.0 default folder by modifying its profiles.ini located in C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Datos de programa\Thunderbird. Upon synchronizing my Android cell phone for the 1st time since the move, I noticed that Birdisync was starting to re write ALL...

Re: Linux and Virtual Machine

I don't quite understand what you want to do with Samba. i) Samba is not *the* solution for window to be able to read (and write) on a Lx volume; ii) Samba is "old". Just configure your Lx r/w volume as a FAT32 or NTFS or, better yet, as an ext3 formatted volume normally used by Lx on your hard disk...

Birdiesync on Linux ?

Hello, Why is Birdiesync not available for Linux ? The port should not be terribly difficult and the resulting application would probably meet with a lot of expectation. May I suggest that the first port be for Tb under Lx to Android mobile ? I for one would use it right away. Immediate acceptance !...

Re: Incomplete synced contacts under Tb 17.x and Jelly Bean

Hi Birdie ! Sorry for the loong delay in replying. I now hail from a new laptop with a system recently installed (still Win XP SP 3 with Mozilla Tb and BirdieSync as before). [Config reminder: I use a Samsung Mini III running Android Jelly Bean v4.1.2. I run Tb v17.0.2 along with BirdieSync v2.4.5.1...
