Before installing BirdieSync and synchronizing, please check that you have a recent backup of your data. You'll find more information on how to backup your data here.

If you want to be able to connect your Android device over USB, you need to install the Android USB drivers provided by the manufacturer of the Android device. Note that if your manufacturer provides its own synchronization tool, these USB drivers may be bundled with it.

To install BirdieSync:

- Download the Setup file from BirdieSync web site
- Close Thunderbird and Sunbird
- Launch BirdieSync installer then read and strictly follow all the recommendations
